The Nigeria Democratic Congress has released the timetable for its primary elections ahead of the 2027 general elections, announcing that presidential aspirants will pay N60 million for nomination and expression of interest forms, while governorship aspirants are expected to pay N30 million.
In a statement issued by the party’s National Chairman, Moses Cleopas, the party disclosed that the sale of forms will run from May 13 to May 18.
The party also directed all aspirants to appear for the screening exercise with the necessary credentials and supporting documents.
According to the statement, female aspirants and persons living with disabilities will enjoy discounted fees, with women paying 50 percent of the approved amount, while PWDs will pay 25 percent across all categories.
The party further announced that its presidential primary election is scheduled to take place in Abuja on May 29.
