Lawyer to Cynthia Nwala, leader of the Etche Legislative Assembly, Godspower Egbule says the Chief Security Officer of the council, Mr Chinedu Onyeche has confessed that he was sent by the Chairman, Obinna Anyanwu to attack his client.
Speaking to journalists yesterday, Mr Egbule stated that the CSO also said the Chairman would have sacked him if he had failed to carryout his instruction.
He called on the Police to speed up investigation into the incident and ensure all persons found wanting are brought to book.
However, Spokesperson of the Council, Robinson Owo has denied the allegations, adding that the Chairman is in no way connected to the incident.
