The Kalabari Entertainers Forum has donated ₦200,000 to veteran radio presenter Goodwill Douglas, popularly known as MC Douglas, to support his ongoing medical treatment for kidney failure.
According to Edisglobal TV, the donation was made during a visit to his residence in Port Harcourt by members of the forum, led by its leader, Sepiribo Briggs, also known as MC Sepo.
Douglas, a presenter with Family Love FM 97.7, has reportedly been receiving dialysis at First Rivers Hospital in Port Harcourt for the past three weeks, undergoing the procedure every two days.
Speaking on behalf of the family, his wife, Josephine Douglas, thanked the forum for the financial assistance and show of solidarity during the difficult period.
She also expressed appreciation to other individuals who have supported the family with prayers, financial contributions and other forms of assistance.
The family appealed to members of the public to continue supporting the broadcaster through prayers, financial donations and visits as he undergoes treatment.
