Former Bayelsa State Governor and leader of the NDC, Seriake Dickson, has disclosed that he held a closed-door meeting with Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and other senior party leaders, during which lingering concerns within the party were discussed and resolved.
According to Dickson, the meeting, which lasted about three hours, provided an opportunity for party leaders to review the activities of the party and address recent developments that had generated concerns among members.
He stated that all issues raised during the discussions were amicably resolved, stressing that the leaders remain united in their commitment to strengthening the party and achieving its political objectives.
Dickson noted that despite the recent disagreements, party stakeholders have always shared the same broader goal of securing electoral victories for the party’s candidates and offering Nigerians an alternative to what he described as the misgovernance of the APC-led administration.
The senator acknowledged that some challenges had emerged within the party but said agreements had been reached on how such matters would be managed going forward.
He also urged party members to put aside internal disputes, bickering, and name-calling, and instead focus on the collective mission of building a stronger political platform.
Dickson further assured supporters that he, Obi, and other party leaders would continue consultations and engagements aimed at addressing concerns, promoting unity and cohesion within the party, and advancing their shared vision of rescuing Nigeria and building a better future for citizens.
