The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, are expected to engage with residents of Rivers State at a town-hall meeting in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
The event, titled “Peter Obi Talks Nigeria,” is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Plot F11, Sani Abacha Road, GRA Phase 3, Port Harcourt.
According to an invitation signed by the NDC Rivers State Chairman, Engr. Success Jack, the party’s governorship candidate in Rivers State, Chief Dumo Lulu-Briggs, and his running mate, Dr. Mike Barieenee Nwielaghi, will host the presidential candidates at the event.
The invitation urged Rivers residents, both indigenes and non-indigenes, to attend the meeting, participate in the discussions and contribute to the conversation on the country’s future.
The town-hall meeting is expected to provide an opportunity for the party’s presidential candidates to interact directly with residents and hear their views on issues affecting the state and Nigeria.
