The Rivers State Police Command has appealed to members of the public for assistance in identifying and reuniting a 14-year-old boy, identified as Pius Prosper, with his family.
According to the Police, the boy said he is from Akwa Ibom State, where he lives with his family and attends Ikot-Okoro Primary School.
Pius told the Police that a man visited his village and obtained his father’s permission to take him to the city. However, he alleged that after arriving at Waterline Park in Port Harcourt, the man abandoned him and disappeared, leaving him stranded.
The Command urged anyone who knows the child, his parents, relatives, or has information that could help reunite him with his family to report to the nearest police station or contact the Rivers State Police Command on +234 703 219 0781 or 090118700070.
Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, said the Command remains committed to ensuring the safety and welfare of every child and appealed for the public’s cooperation in helping Pius Prosper reunite with his loved ones.
