The Rivers State Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) has donated ₦1.15 million to 11 patients at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), Port Harcourt, to assist them with their medical bills.
The donation was made on Thursday as part of the unit’s humanitarian efforts to support patients facing financial challenges in accessing medical care.
Led by CSP Julian Wealth, the VCRU also extended its support to two children’s homes in Port Harcourt, donating food items and essential supplies to the facilities.
The items donated to each home included three bags of rice, one bag of beans, one bag of garri, cartons of Indomie noodles, baby diapers, tissue paper and cartons of soap.
The unit said the interventions were aimed at easing the financial burden on patients and providing essential supplies to children in the homes.
