The General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, David Ibiyeomie, has reiterated the need to protect religious freedom in Nigeria, declaring that the country will never become an Islamic nation.
Speaking during the church’s midweek service, Reigning in Life, on Tuesday, Ibiyeomie expressed concerns about the current state of the nation and urged Christians to remain vigilant while upholding their faith.
In the course of his sermon, the cleric made a strong declaration, stating, “Nigeria will never be an Islamic nation.”
He stressed that every individual should have the freedom to worship according to their beliefs, adding that no one should be compelled to practice a religion against their will.
According to him, his message was not intended to promote division but to emphasize the importance of religious liberty, peaceful coexistence, and the constitutional right of every Nigerian to serve God according to personal convictions.
Ibiyeomie further called on Christians to continue praying for the nation and standing for truth, expressing confidence that God would grant Nigeria peace, righteousness, and a brighter future.
He maintained that the Church would remain committed to interceding for the country while advocating for an environment where citizens can freely practice their faith without interference.
