A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission to derecognize three National Assembly candidates of Labour party in the state.
Justice Stephen Daylop Pam gave the ruling on Friday in a suit filed by the PDP.
The People’s Democratic Party had dragged the Labour party to court over claims that the primaries that produced the four candidates were not monitored by INEC.
Meanwhile, the Labour party has said that it would appeal the judgement noting that nothing is lost yet.
The party had in a statement described the suit by the PDP as “distraction.”
