Hon. Kings Unyeawaji, a political figure from Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, has picked the governorship nomination form of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) ahead of the party’s primary election.
Unyeawaji, who recently defected from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the NDC, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday.
In his remarks, he called for a shift in governance philosophy, urging leaders to prioritize long-term development over routine election cycles.
“Doing the same thing, the same way and expecting different results is another definition of insanity. The time is ripe for statesmen to step into governance for the next generation and not the usual next election. Leadership is service to the people.”
With the development, Unyeawaji is now set to contest in the NDC governorship primary as preparations for the next general election gather momentum in Rivers State.
