Chelsea have parted ways with head coach Liam Rosenior after a disappointing 3–0 loss to Brighton on Tuesday, bringing an end to his tenure at the club.
The decision comes after a historic slump in form, with Chelsea suffering five straight Premier League defeats without scoring a single goal — their worst scoring drought in over a century. Club officials have now made their second managerial change of the season in response to the poor results.
In a statement, the club said the decision followed a run of performances that fell below expectations, stressing that there is still a lot left to play for this season, while also wishing Rosenior success in his future career.
Chelsea FC confirmed that Calum McFarlane, who previously managed the club’s Under-21 side, will step in as interim head coach until the end of the season.
