The Rivers State Government says the state witnessed minimal killings and shootings in the last general elections because Christians prayed to God.
Deputy Governor of the state, Ngozi Ordu said this at the Launching of Bishop’s Charge/Diocesan Project of Anglican Communion, Diocese of Ahoada, held at the Holy Trinity Church, Abua-Central, Headquarters of Abua Archdeaconry, Abua/Odual LGA, Rivers State on Sunday.
According to her, the state would have experienced incessant killings if not for the prayers of christians.
She stated that the state government will continue to identify with christians, as it is their prayers that have kept the administration going.
She also urged christians to continue to pray for the current administration to succeed.
