Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State is expected to meet with community Development Committees and youth groups in the state today. This is in order to take measures in enforcing the ban on all activities of IPOB in the state.
The Governor had made this known during a state-wide broadcast few days ago. He had accused IPOB members of carrying out violence in Oyigbo, and placed a ban on all activities of the group in the state.
He urged residents of the state to remain calm and not take laws into their hands as properties damaged will be assessed and adequate measures taken to mitigate the plights of victims.
