The Rivers State Ministry of Education has announced that all primary and secondary schools in the state will resume for the third term of the 2025/2026 academic session on Monday, April 20, 2026.
According to a public interest announcement issued by the Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, both public and private schools are expected to resume academic and non-academic activities on the approved date and operate strictly in line with the state’s prescribed guidelines.
The ministry also directed all private schools operating within Rivers State to adhere strictly to the government-approved academic calendar and ensure compliance with the resumption date.
