The Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area, Engr. Samuel Nwanosike has called on the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike to contest the 2023 Presidential election.
Nwanosike who disclosed this during a campaign rally at Ward 3 in Elele, on Thursday, said the call became necessary due to the achievements of the Governor in the state.
He said the nation needs a transformer like Gov. Wike to address the current security and economic challenges being witnessed in the country.
Nwanosike assured residents of Ikwerre LGA that if elected for a second tenure, he will sustain the fight against insecurity to attract more meaningful development to the area.
The Council Boss said he will continue to work for the development of the LGA, no matter what.
He commended the state Governor for launching a new security outfit to tackle insecurity in the state, as he promised to work with the outfit to ensure adequate security in the area.
