The Rivers State Government has announced that a taskforce to monitor and strictly enforce compliance with the guidelines on COVID-19 in schools would be set-up.
Prof. Kaniye Ebeku, the Commissioner for Education made this known after a meeting with staff of the ministry in Port Harcourt, ahead of the reopening of schools on August 4 for exit classes.
He said, staff of the ministry would be deployed “to ensure strict compliance with the wearing of nose masks and other COVID – 19 hygiene protocols within the school premises. ”
He equally noted that the state government is prepared for the resumption of schools as announced by the Federal Government few days ago.
