The Rivers State University (RSU) has commenced its admission clearance exercise for candidates offered provisional admission for the 2026/2027 academic session, with the process scheduled to end on November 30, 2026.
According to a notice signed by the University Registrar, Dr Idanyingi I. Daminabo, the exercise is for candidates who have accepted their admission offers on the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS).
The Registrar directed candidates to visit the University’s Candidate Admission Portal at apply.rsu.edu.ng, using their JAMB registration numbers and other required login details to begin the clearance process.
Candidates are required to complete the online clearance, pay the prescribed acceptance and other preliminary fees, and upload scanned copies of their JAMB admission letters, UTME result slips, O’Level results, birth certificates or declarations of age, and local government identification.
Those presenting two sittings of O’Level results must upload both results.
Dr Daminabo further instructed candidates to download and print the relevant forms from the portal for submission during the physical clearance exercise at their respective faculties.
The notice warned that candidates who fail to complete the clearance within the stipulated period risk losing their admission offers.
It also stressed that all information and documents submitted must correspond with candidates’ records on JAMB CAPS, warning that the submission of false or altered documents could lead to the withdrawal of admission at any stage of their studies.
Upon completing the online clearance, candidates are expected to submit their duly completed forms to their respective faculties for the opening of their files.
