A young female hotel staff in Omoku, Rivers state, has lost her life after she was reportedly locked up in a room by her madam for four days without food.
A Facebook user identified as Daniel Onyeije in a post said the girl was subjected to the inhumane treatment after could not account for N17,500.
His post reads,
AN EXCRUCIATING ORDEAL HAPPENED IN EGBEMA LAST WEEK
A young girl from Igburu ethnic extraction working in a hotel in Egbema had shortage of ₦17,500 the wife of the hotelier ordered some staff to lock her up in a room for 4days without food or water.
The girl stayed there, crying and calling for help and no one helped.
According to a reliable source,on the 3rd day,the room was opened ,they saw she was getting very week and still locked the door back.
4 days after she was locked,they finally opened the door again and saw her on the floor,she was half dead, then she was rushed to the hospital where she eventually died last week.
As I write now,the Jezebelic lady is already in police detention.
When there’s shortage of money,all I know is that management usually deduct it from staff’s salary,but this lady chooses to a demonic god.
This evil in our land must stop.
On a good day, we’ll talk about those establishment in our locality that will owe people 6,7 months salary even when there’s sales.
You’re paying someone ₦15,000/₦20,000 a month and still owing.
This people have families,they feed,they pay transport to work.
