The Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has called on the Senate to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of 13-year-old Ochanya Ogbanje.
Presenting a petition from Inibehe Effiong Chambers during Wednesday’s plenary, Akpoti-Uduaghan urged lawmakers to ensure accountability, alleging that some individuals were attempting to shield those responsible from justice.
Ochanya, a student of the Federal Government Girls College, Gboko, died in 2018, a case that sparked nationwide concern.
