Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated the Federal Government’s determination to strengthen security across the country and dismantle criminal networks responsible for kidnapping, banditry, and other violent crimes.
She made the remarks at the weekend during a meeting with traditional rulers at Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti, during a one-day working visit to Ekiti State.
According to her, the administration is expanding both local and international security partnerships to address growing security challenges nationwide. She noted that countries such as the United States and other developed nations are supporting Nigeria’s efforts, adding that some of those involved in criminal activities are foreign nationals.
“No matter what happens, we shall overcome. Nigeria is too great to be intimidated,” she said.
The First Lady further disclosed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains actively involved in efforts to restore peace and security, often working late into the night to tackle the situation.
“I can assure you that there are no weekends or public holidays for us. The President is working round the clock to resolve these issues. Sometimes, he does not go to bed until 3:00 a.m., and God has remained faithful,” she stated.
