One Sokaribo Johnbull has been sentenced to seven months imprisonment by Justice A.T. Mohammed of the Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State for forgery.
Johnbull, was found guilty of forging a Certificate of Occupancy he tendered to Deputy Chief Registrar of the court for the perfection of bail conditions of one Uche Samuel.
He was arraigned by the Port Harcourt Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, after the court sent a petition to the commission reporting the case of forgery.
The EFCC, upon investigation discovered that the certificate was forged. The suspect was immediately arrested and arraigned before the law court.
Johnbull, who pleaded guilty to the crime was handed the sentence with an option of a five hundred thousand fine to be paid into the Single Treasury Account of the Federal Government.
