Popular Nigerian comedian KO Baba has announced the return of the KObaba U-15 Football Tournament, set to kick off in September 2025 in Port Harcourt. The grassroots competition, aimed at promoting youth development through sports, will feature increased prize money and new sponsorship partnerships.
Speaking on the initiative, KO Baba highlighted his longstanding involvement with grassroots football academies in the region. “Over the past few years, I’ve had the privilege of working with these academies, supporting their efforts and witnessing the passion and potential of young players,” he said.
Now in its latest edition, the tournament continues to serve as a platform for identifying and nurturing emerging talent while promoting discipline, teamwork, and reducing youth restiveness.
