A 20-year-old girl has accused a pastor, Tony Daniel of the Jesus Alive World Church of raping her at his residence in Port Harcourt.
The victim, in a chat with journalists said the pastor raped her when she honoured an invitation to his house to settle a dispute with the wife.
Meanwhile, Wife of the Pastor in a statement said the allegation is false and a calculated attempt to ridicule her husband.
She said the lady had threatened to disgrace her husband after a dispute over her refusal to pay utility bill. Efforts to reach the suspect proved abortive.
In the meantime, a human rights group, the Center for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign has called on the Police to properly invest the matter.
A member of the group, Festus Bowin in a statement said the matter should not be swept under the carpet, this is as he called for protection of the victim and he family members.
He noted that both parties have been invited by the Police for interrogation today.
