Rivers State recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 5,913 with 5,285 discharged and 86 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.

In total, Nigeria recorded 938 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 236, FCT-123, Plateau-92, Benue-63, Katsina-53, Oyo-50, Osun-45, Kaduna-43, Edo-33, Ogun-31, Ebonyi-31, Akwa Ibom-30, Kano-26, Gombe-18, Bauchi-16, Delta-12, Imo-11, Cross River-10, Rivers-10 and Niger-5.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 143,516 with 118,012 recovered patients, and 1,710 deaths.

The Commission has urged Nigerians to continue to wear masks to reduce the spread of the virus, as it does not only help in protecting the individual but those around them.
