Rivers lawmaker, Alabo Major Jack has emerged as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Major Jack will run alongside the party’s governorship candidate, Hon. O.K. Chinda, in the 2027 election.
He currently serves as the Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
His emergence has continued to attract congratulatory messages from political leaders, individuals and groups across the state.
Among those who have congratulated him is the Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Dr. Benibo Meeting George, who described Major Jack as “the right choice” for the position.
Other notable figures who have also congratulated the APC deputy governorship candidate include Joy Oyaghiri-Fagbemi and Senator Amejima Obo Olako.
The development is expected to further shape the political landscape in Rivers State as parties begin preparations for the 2027 governorship election.
