Rhapsody of Realities 8 November 2026: God’s Word Carries Life
SCRIPTURE: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).
The Lord Jesus made a profound statement when He said, “The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life.” What did He mean? He didn’t say His words were merely powerful or inspiring. Rather, He said they are spirit and they are life.
It reveals something extraordinary: everything that comes out of God carries His life. That doesn’t mean it’s His Person but that it carries His life. It’s like your DNA; it can be traced from something as little as a strand of your hair because it carries your unique identity.
In the same way, everything that comes out of God carries His identity, His power, and His life. This is why God’s Word is unlike any other. When you receive His Word, you receive the life it carries.
It helps us understand what happened with the handkerchiefs and aprons from Paul that were used to heal the sick and cast out demons (Acts 19:11-12). It wasn’t the Person of the Holy Spirit who was in those materials. It was the impartation of God’s life and power.
Paul had received the Word, and that divine life was imparted even to the things that came in contact with him. Approach God’s Word with this understanding. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please….” God’s Word doesn’t merely announce His purpose but contains the efficacy and power to fulfil it.
Think of a seed. Within that tiny seed is everything required to produce the tree it represents. Always be quick to receive God’s Word and confidently act on it. Let it dwell richly in your heart. As you do, you’ll witness its inherent power, producing righteousness, health, wisdom, victory, and every blessing it conveys. Hallelujah!
Jesus already bore the punishment for sin. No more punishment remains for those who have accepted His sacrifice. Hebrews 10:14 says, “For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified,” and continues in the 26th verse, “…there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.” Those who reject His sacrifice choose to bear the consequences themselves, but no one could ever pay for sin apart from Christ.
What a glorious Gospel! The price has been paid in full. Walk in the liberty of this truth. Refuse every form of guilt, condemnation, or self-punishment. The Lord Jesus bore your judgment completely, and through His finished work you’ve been freely justified before the Father. Hallelujah
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the living power of your Word. I receive your Word into my spirit with joy, knowing that it carries your life, your power, and your divine nature. I’m continually transformed by your Word as I live by it and it produces in me all that you have ordained, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

John 1:1-4
1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God [b]Himself.
2 He was present originally with God.
3 All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.
4 In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.
Hebrews 4:12
12 For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.
1 Thessalonians 2:13
13 And we also [especially] thank God continually for this, that when you received the message of God [which you heard] from us, you welcomed it not as the word of [mere] men, but as it truly is, the Word of God, which is effectually at work in you who believe [exercising its superhuman power in those who adhere to and trust in and rely on it].
