The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Rivers State, Sir Gabriel Baritulem Pidomson, has urged residents to come out en masse to vote in next year’s general election.
Pidomson made the call during a radio interview on Thursday, urging voters to ensure that their votes are transmitted from their polling units before leaving the subsequent processes to politicians.
“Come out, cast your votes, and ensure it is transmitted at your unit. Then leave what happens from the wards to us politicians,” he said.
The ADC candidate also pledged to govern Rivers State without external influence or godfatherism if elected.
Pidomson said the party’s leader and Vice Presidential candidate, Chibuike Amaechi, had never claimed to be his godfather.
He further promised that his administration would deliver the dividends of democracy to Rivers residents, assuring that government funds would be deployed to improve their lives.
