The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Rivers State Chapter, has honoured the Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Agabe Blessing, with an Award of Excellence in Public Relations and Community Engagement.
The award was presented to the police spokesperson as part of activities marking the 2026 International Youth Week.
The YAN commended ASP Agabe for her professionalism, timely communication and efforts to promote community policing and strengthen relations between the police and young people in Rivers State.
The delegation was led by the State Speaker, Rt. Hon. Justin Briggs, and included Hon. Confidence Kiaka Ati from Khana, Hon. Lucky Obele, Hon. Eli Heart Edwin from Emohua, and Hon. Miss Amen Rachael from Port Harcourt City.
Other distinguished members of the delegation were drawn from Gokana and Eleme Local Government Areas.
The Youth Assembly said the recognition reflected the growing confidence of young people in the Rivers State Police Command and celebrated ASP Agabe’s commitment to effective youth and public engagement.
The group expressed optimism that stronger collaboration between the police and young people would contribute to improved community policing and a safer society.
