The University of Port Harcourt has announced plans for its 36th Combined Convocation Ceremony scheduled to hold from Monday, June 1 to Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the University Park.
The week-long ceremony is expected to attract distinguished guests, alumni, parents, graduating students, friends of the institution, and members of the public in celebration of academic excellence and outstanding achievements recorded by the university.
According to the university management, the convocation activities will feature a variety of programmes, including a convocation service, media briefing by the Vice-Chancellor, alumni day celebration, research fair and exhibitions, as well as a fireside chat on career and life after school.
Other highlights of the ceremony include the award of First Degrees, Postgraduate Diplomas, Master’s Degrees, prizes and awards, alongside the convocation lecture and conferment of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.
The university urged stakeholders and well-wishers to join in celebrating the accomplishments of the graduands and the institution’s enduring legacy of excellence.
