President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has summoned Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), the immediate past Administrator of Rivers State, to the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Ibas, who arrived at the State House at about 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, was accompanied by the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukayede.
Although details of the closed-door meeting were not disclosed, the development comes shortly after the expiration of Ibas’s six-month tenure as administrator on September 17, following the end of the emergency rule declared in March.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State House of Assembly has resolved to investigate the management of state funds during Ibas’s administration.
