The Rivers State Police Command has paraded two persons who allegedly tried to kidnap Barr. Tamuno Igbiki a staff of NDDC, few days ago in Port Harcourt.
The kidnappers who were disarmed by the Barrister before they were chased and caught by residents of the area, confessed to the crime.
The state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan in a chat with journalists, commended the victim for his bravery and efforts in evading the kidnap. He noted that the bravery he showcased was very rare.
Mukan assured residents of the state, of the command’s determination and readiness to ensure the protection of lives and properties.
“Nothing more, nothing less. And I will do everything in my power to guarantee that their fundamental rights are protected and to minimize Police misuse of firearms and extra judicial killings,” he stated.
