The Rivers State Police Command has strengthened its partnership with the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enhance security and public safety across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adewole Adepoju, received the Comptroller of Immigration, Rivers State Command, CIS LU Anatogu, and the State Commandant of the NSCDC, Dennis Reuben, during separate courtesy visits to the Command on Wednesday.
The engagements provided an opportunity to deepen inter-agency cooperation, strengthen existing partnerships and improve the exchange of timely and credible security information in the fight against crime and emerging security threats.
Adepoju reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to maintaining strong and result-oriented relationships with sister security agencies, stressing the importance of effective communication, intelligence sharing and coordinated operations in protecting lives and property.
The visits, according to the Command, demonstrates its commitment to building a united and coordinated security architecture in the interest of the people of Rivers State.
The engagements ended with the exchange of plaques as symbols of mutual respect, partnership and a shared commitment to strengthening security and public safety.
