The Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board (RSPHCMB) has deployed a brand-new operational vehicle to Obio-Akpor Local Government Area as part of its commitment to providing vehicles across the state’s 23 LGAs.
The board in a statement said the medical Officer of Health, Dr Chiney Babep, took delivery of the vehicle at the council secretariat on Monday.
The Executive Secretary of RSPHCMB, Dr Chituru Adele, said the newly deployed vehicle would strengthen mobility for primary healthcare supportive supervision, monitoring and programme activities across the LGA.
The Vice Chairman of Obio-Akpor LGA, Hon. Dr Mrs Nyeche Joyce, said the council would continue to support primary healthcare activities in the area.
It said the handover ceremony was witnessed by the Council Secretary, Barrister Kelvin Akani; the Head of Local Government Administration, Mr Sunny Nyeche Adibe; and directors of the board.
