Port Harcourt — The factional chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Tony Okocha, has alleged that the state judiciary is responsible for the ongoing political crisis in the state.
Speaking during a press briefing in Port Harcourt on Monday, Okocha criticized the judiciary for issuing conflicting judgments, which he claimed have exacerbated political tensions.
He called for reforms to restore public confidence in the judiciary, emphasizing the need for impartiality and consistency in judicial rulings.
“The judiciary is the problem behind the political crisis in Rivers State. Judges make pronouncements on PDP congresses even when a superior court ruled otherwise,” he said.
He also berated a former governor of the state , Hon. Chibuike Amaechi over his recent comments accusing him of inciting violence.
