The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has cautioned former presidential candidate Peter Obi against his reported political alliance with Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, warning that the partnership could undermine Obi’s future presidential ambition.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Ayodele alleged that Obi was becoming overly desperate in his pursuit of the presidency and was not carefully evaluating the motives of those around him.
The cleric claimed that Obi was ignoring divine guidance and had aligned himself with individuals who may not genuinely support his political aspirations.
According to Ayodele, Kwankwaso is not prepared to make sacrifices for Obi’s success and could eventually abandon him when it matters most. He argued that the alliance may ultimately weaken Obi’s chances of achieving his presidential goal.
Ayodele further maintained that Kwankwaso’s political actions are driven primarily by personal interests rather than the objectives of any broader coalition.
Despite his criticism, the cleric insisted that his remarks were not motivated by hostility towards Obi. He described the former Anambra State governor as a courageous politician but suggested that he still lacks the political maturity required for the office he seeks.
