The leadership of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) has directed all its branches and ministries across the country to suspend vigils and ensure that all church activities end by 8:00 p.m. until further notice due to the prevailing security situation in Nigeria.
The directive was conveyed in an internal circular dated June 5, 2026, signed by the Director of Administration (International Headquarters and Nigeria), Temitope A. Olawale.
According to the circular, the measures were introduced as a precautionary step aimed at protecting church members and workers amid increasing security challenges across the nation.
The ministry instructed Principal Regional Overseers, Senior Regional Overseers, Mega Regional Overseers, Zonal Pastors, Branch Pastors, and other church leaders to ensure strict adherence to the directive.
Under the new guidelines, all church services, meetings, programmes, and activities at every level of the ministry must conclude on or before 8:00 p.m.
MFM also announced the suspension of vigils, overnight prayer sessions, and similar programmes in all branches nationwide until further notice.
However, the church noted that where necessary, vigils may be converted into evening prayer meetings, provided such programmes end no later than 8:00 p.m.
