Operatives of the Rumuolumeni OSPAC, led by Commander Kenneth Olumeni, have reportedly arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting incident at the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education in Port Harcourt.
The suspect, identified as Mr. Smith, and other members of his group allegedly invaded the university premises on Wednesday and opened fire, causing panic among students and staff.
A student was reportedly struck by a stray bullet during the incident and rushed to the university hospital for treatment.
While other suspects reportedly fled the scene, OSPAC operatives apprehended Smith.
A Toyota Corolla allegedly linked to the group was also recovered. The vehicle reportedly bears registration number BAYELSA NEM-425AE.
The development follows a similar incident reportedly recorded on Monday, when the suspects allegedly disrupted peace within the university community.
