The Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) has invited interested and qualified companies to express interest in purchasing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) volumes for supply to the Nigerian domestic market, subject to their ability to develop and operate an LPG Inland Terminal on Bonny Island, Rivers State.
The company in a statement said the proposed commercial opportunity involves the purchase of propane and butane from its plant complex on Bonny Island.
NLNG explained that eligible counterparties must be capable of independently developing and operating an LPG Inland Terminal (LIT) on the island.
It clarified that the Expression of Interest (EOI) is not for terminal development, engineering, construction, operations, logistics or other vendor services.
According to the company, its role will be limited to the sale of LPG volumes under a conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA).
It said sccessful companies will be responsible for developing, financing, owning, operating, permitting, insuring and managing the terminal and associated downstream infrastructure at their own cost, risk and responsibility.
NLNG operates a production facility on Bonny Island comprising six natural gas liquefaction trains, with a combined capacity of 22 million tonnes of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and five million tonnes of Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) annually.
