A young nail technician, identified as Joy Felix Peter, has reportedly been missing for more than a week after leaving home to meet a man she had connected with on Tinder for the first time.
According to her roommate, Joy informed her that she was travelling to Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State for the meeting but never returned. Since then, family members and friends have reportedly been unable to reach her.
She further claimed that before the meeting, the man requested a full photograph of Joy, which she reportedly sent. However, when she asked him for his own picture, he allegedly sent one briefly before deleting it, explaining that his photos were already on his Tinder profile.
Alleged conversation between Joy and the Man
The roommate alleged that she had been invited to meet the man at a hotel in Chokocho, and shared what were described as chat messages and voice notes Joy allegedly sent before the meeting.
As of the time of this report, Joy’s whereabouts remain unknown, and there has been no official statement confirming what happened. Security agencies have been urged to investigate the matter and pursue all available leads.
