The Ikwerre Local Government Council has announced the commencement of a weekly environmental sanitation exercise across the local government area.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Wobodo Charles, disclosed this in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Wariso Wariso.
According to the statement, the exercise will commence on Thursday, August 13, 2026, and will be held every Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The Chairman directed his Adviser on Environment and Sanitation, Hon. Sampson Nwachukwu, to ensure strict enforcement of the directive.
The council also urged business owners and residents across Ikwerre LGA to comply with the sanitation exercise and support efforts to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
