Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured residents and civil servants that the renovation of the Rivers State Secretariat Complex will be completed and officially handed over in the first quarter of 2027.
The governor gave the assurance on Monday after inspecting the ongoing reconstruction work at the Secretariat Complex in Port Harcourt.
Speaking after the inspection, Fubara said he decided to personally assess the interior sections of the complex after observing the transformation of the building’s exterior over time.
He expressed satisfaction with the quality and pace of work at the site, noting that the project is moving according to schedule and remains on track for completion within the expected timeframe.
According to him, the renovation has recorded significant progress and should be ready for delivery to the state government by early next year.
Fubara also reiterated his administration’s resolve to complete all ongoing projects across the state, stressing that no project embarked upon by his government would be abandoned.
