The Federal Government and the Rivers State Government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration on tourism development and unlock the state’s rich cultural, historical, and natural attractions.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, underscored the immense tourism potential of Andoni and other parts of the state, describing them as untapped assets capable of driving economic growth, creating jobs, and attracting both local and international investors.
Fubara stressed that strategic investment in the tourism sector would diversify the state’s economy and position Rivers as a premier tourism destination in Nigeria.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the Federal Government by the Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, while the Permanent Secretary of the Rivers State Ministry of Culture and Tourism signed on behalf of the Rivers State Government.
