TEXT: PROVERBS 18:9:24
MEMORY VERSE: “The name of the Lord is a fortified tower; the righteous run to it and are safe” (Proverbs 18:10 NIV).
Life is a battle ground; not a playground: Your last day on earth is the day you stop fighting. Every new day comes with new challenges. Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal and to kill and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly” (John 10:10 KJV).
Everywhere we turn, we see broken hearts, broken homes, shattered lives, stagnation, unfruitfulness, deaths, and much more. Humanity is actually in a dilemma. The only place to turn for defence, safety, and complete recovery of things we lost is the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Bible give us a wise counsel: “And whatever you do (no matter what it is) in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in (dependence upon) His person, giving praise to God the Father through him”(Colossians 3:17AMP). Divine protection, provision, promotion and all that God has promised the faithful can only be delivered through the instrumentality of the Name of the God.
Let us embrace that Name truly and faithfully. It contains all that we to live through this life, no matter the situation; for “… at the name of Jesus everyone will bow down, those in heaven, on earth and under the Earth”(Philippians 2:10 CEV). Child of God, depend on the Name of the Lord Jesus only, for the Scripture says, “And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 AMP).
- Believe faithfully in Jesus and you will be safe.
- Lord, let your Name be my defence ever more.
