TEXT: EPHESIANS 3:14-21
MEMORY VERSE: “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think….” Ephesians 3:20 GNV.
0 And the apostles, when they had returned, told Him all that they had done. Then He took them and went aside privately into a deserted place belonging to the city called Bethsaida. 11 But when the multitudes knew it, they followed Him; and He received them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who had need of healing. 12 When the day began to wear away, the twelve came and said to Him, “Send the multitude away, that they may go into the surrounding towns and country, and lodge and get provisions; for we are in a deserted lace ”
Our God is Omnipotent. There is no power that can be equal to His strength: physically and spiritually.
All we need to do is to surrender to Him; allow His words to take control of our lives. If we do so, there is a guarantee that we shall receive the spiritual enablement that helps us fulfill the will of God. In verse 16 of our text, it is written: “that he would grant you… the riches of his glory… by his spirit in the inner man”.
This Spirit of God empowers us to live a life of faith, love, total knowledge of God, and gives us the ability to exercise and showcase the power of God (Mark 16:17, 18; Ephesians 3:19).
It must be noted that the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer is the evidence that he has received Christ. With the Holy Spirit, one can live a life that will please God and a life that will manifest the power of God. No one can please God with his own power. It is by the Spirit and not by power (Acts 1 6-8).
This is therefore an opportunity to examine your life and surrender to Christ for the remission of your sin and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:37, 38).
- Can you by experience say that God has enabled you do the impossible?
- Lord, please continue to renew the strength of my faith and the power of your grace upon my life, in Jesus Name. Amen.
