Governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Rivers State, Beatrice Itubor has described the order by the state government prohibiting the use of residential areas as campaign offices as “initial gragra.”
Itubo said this during the inauguration of her campaign committee in Port Harcourt Today.
According to her, she will continue to use her campaign office, as nobody can stop her.
Itubo stated that she has never been scared of Governor, Nyesom Wike whom he accused of mismanaging resources of the state.
She said the Governor has been busy donating money to outsiders while pension and gratuities have not been paid to retirees since he assumed office, noting that Rivers people are suffering and dying of hunger.
Itubor revealed that she will takeover governance in the state from Wike and that a day will come when Rivers people will quantify the amount spent on what she described as “overhead bridges” built by the current administration.
She noted that Rivers people are yearning for a better Rivers State, and that Labour party has what it takes to transform the state, adding that government is like “elephant meat” no one person can carry.
She charged members of the campaign council to be civil in the discharge of their duties and engage in issue-based campaigns.
