Rivers State recorded no new case of the COVID-19 yesterday. The total number of confirmed cases in the state still stands at 2,661 with 2,519 discharged and 59 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
In total, Nigeria recorded 164 new cases of the virus. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with – (64), FCT (26), Enugu (20), Kaduna (11), Oyo (11), Plateau (8), Ondo (7), Anambra (4), Nasarawa (3), Osun (3), Ebonyi (2), Imo (2), Benue (1), Katsina (1), and Ogun (1).
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 60,430 with 51,943 and 1,115 deaths.
Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
