Rivers State recorded 19 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,037 with 6,875 discharged and 101 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 80 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – 29, Rivers-19, Zamfara-6, Akwa Ibom-4, Edo-4, Osun-4, Plateau-4, Ogun-3, Kano-3, Nasarawa-2, FCT-1 and Oyo-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 164,080 with 154,285 recovered patients, and 2,061 deaths.
The agency has advised Nigerians to continue obeying all COVID-19 protocols despite taking the vaccine.
