Rivers State recorded 7 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 6,269 with 5,797 discharged and 91 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of COVID-19.
In total, Nigeria recorded 645 new Cases. Lagos recorded the highest number with – Lagos-282, Ogun-72, FCT-50, Kaduna-33, Osun-24, Imo-23, Abia-21, Borno-18, Oyo-17, Edo-15, Nasarawa-15, Taraba-14, Ekiti-11, Ondo-11, Plateau-11, Kano-10, Rivers-7, Delta-5, Bauchi-3 and Jigawa-3.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 151,553 with 128,005 recovered patients, and 1,831 deaths.
The commission has advised Nigerians to Remember to wash their hands at these critical times.
