Rivers State recorded 5 new cases of COVID-19 yesterday. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 7,300 with 7165 discharged and 101 deaths.

In total, Nigeria recordeded 51 new cases. Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with -41, Rivers-5, Gombe-3, FCT-1 and Akwa Ibom-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,206 with 163,550 recovered patients, and 2,117 deaths.
The agency has warned Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols as there is an emergence of a more deadly variant.
