The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced the confirmation of Forty-nine new coronavirus cases in Nigeria.
The NCDC who confirmed this on it’s official tweeter handle, also revealed that 23 of the cases were recorded in Lagos, 12 in the FCT, 10 in kano, Ogun had 2 cases while Oyo and Ekiti states had one case each.
With this development, the total number of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria has risen to 542. 166 have been discharged with 49 deaths recorded. The former chief of staff to president Muhammadu Buhari, mallam Abba kyari, remains the only high profile COVID-19 death in the country.
